Pilates
Many women find Pilates to be one of the best exercises to do, both during and after their pregnancy. One of the top reasons Pilates and pregnancy go together so well is that Pilates is great at building core strength. If your abdominal muscles, back and pelvic floor muscles are toned, they will support a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. Another great reason to do pilates in pregnancy is that pilates is very adaptable. Most pilates exercises can be modified as your body and abilities change. The modifications help you keep the intent of the exercise, but adjust the form to work for your body.
Our Pilates classes here at bababoom are designed to allow the instructor plenty of one on one time to ensure that you are identifying the core muscles, adopting the right positions and working to your full potential. With this in mind we have kept the classes very intimate and only allow a maximum of 6 in each class giving the instructor plenty of time to focus on you all.
Each set of classes runs for 6 consecutive weeks on either a Tuesday or a Thurdsay evening and run as Antenatal Pilates 7-8pm and Postnatal Pilates 8.15-9.15pm. If you embark on the course, and you know before commencement of the course that you are not able to make a specific date, then a reduced course fee may be possible. However once the course has started then unfortunately this fee will not be able to be refunded as we will not be able to slot someone else in at that stage.
See forthcoming course dates page for next available dates.
