Having been recommended many Homeopaths by many local women Bababoom have finaly decided that Patricia is the one to compliment our team the best and luckily for you she loved the idea too! | homeopathy in pregnancy - homeopathy
| Homeopathy for pregnancy and children. During pregnancy some women will chose to live with symptoms such as morning sickness, constipation, heartburn or tiredness because they are concerned about the possible side effects of conventional medicine on their unborn child. Homeopathy can be safely used during pregnancy because the remedies work on an energetic level, so they contain no potentially harmful substances that could damage the foetus or the mother. Homeopathic remedies are very useful in labour, as well as helping the mother and baby recover from the delivery.
A wide selection of homeopathic remedies can be effectively used during childbirth to aid contractions, reduce the pain, diminish bruising and alleviate fears and anxieties. If you would like to know more about homeopathic remedies during childbirth please contact me. You can hire a homeopathic birthing kit for £35, which includes a £10 deposit. The fee provides you with a large selection of remedies and a comprehensive advice booklet. However, a preferred course of treatment is to have started homeopathic treatment early in the pregnancy or even before conception, but it is never too late to start!
After the baby is born, homeopathy can be safely used during breastfeeding for problems such as cracked or sore nipples, mastitis, insufficient breast milk, sleeping difficulties and exhaustion.

homeopathy in pregnancy - meet our homeopath
| Hello, I'm Patricia and I graduated from Westminster University after successfully completing a BSc (Hons) Health Science degree in homeopathy. Prior to my homeopathic studies my full-time career was nursing. I have spent over twenty years in the sphere of conventional medicine, specialising and working in the field of intensive care for the last fifteen years. | | I still nurse in intensive care at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, but on a part-time basis. As a homeopathic practitioner I personally find my conventional medical background an asset. My advanced body of knowledge and experience allows me to make a detailed assessment of physiology function and quickly identify symptoms that warrant a conventional medical referral and those that would benefit from homeopathy. I am also in a position to suggest specific tests and investigations that may help to explain symptoms if necessary.
You may be asking why I chose to pursue another career in complementary medicine with a specific interest in homeopathy.
At 12 years old I was diagnosed with psoriasis, which is a chronic skin complaint. The physical symptoms of such a condition became the bane and embarrassment of my life. I spent many years applying steroids to my skin and attending the Royal London Hospital for PUVA sun bed treatments. Over a period of time I realised that conventional medicine was unable to provide an enduring benefit and I was also concerned about the side effects of my treatment. In a means to find alternative help I researched complimentary medicine and obviously homeopathy was the one of choice. I personally witnessed, as a patient, the enduring benefits this form of healthcare offered and I have never looked back. Gone are the days of frequent hospital appointments, the side effects of my treatments and the discomfort of my physical symptoms.
My homeopathic studies made me aware of the many benefits that homeopathy can offer for a vast number of medical conditions without it being a ‘last resort’. The increasing awareness and acceptance of homeopathy amongst the general public provided a favourable time for my change in career. Furthermore and more importantly, it was an ideal career change for me as it allows me to maintain patient contact.
A one hour session of homepathy costs £52.50
